Our next bake sale is January 18, 2026 — our 5th sale! Wow, time really does fly. This sale will be benefitting Doctors Without Borders’ efforts in Sudan. Net proceeds will be donated directly to the cause (to help keep this more sustainable, we will now take 5% for things like set up cost, pastry boxes, and community coffee table). If you are unable to make it to the bake sale, please check out the cause to learn more and/or donate. Should you feel so inclined to donate, send us a note about your donation so we can factor it into our numbers. To sign up for the next bake sale, please visit our instagram page: @bakesnotbombs.

Who we are

Bakes Not Bombs is a community led bake sale initiative to raise funds for various domestic and international social justice issues. The idea started when Julianne felt frustrated and helpless with the happenings in the world, so she decided to fuse her love for baking, community, and activism. Each month, Bakes Not Bombs collects baked goods from both home and professional bakers to be sold at the monthly sales located on the streets of San Francisco.

Past Bake Sales

  • In December, our sale’s proceeds went to the Alameda Food Bank. We collected $810, as well as over 50lbs of non-perishable food items! From this sale, we deducted $50 to go towards Bakes Not Bombs costs (going forward from here, we will take a flat 5% of the funds to cover logistical costs). A few of the bake sale hits were the Squash Cheddar Biscuits, Chocolate Fudge Brownies, and Chocolate Toffee Cookies.

  • In September, our sale’s proceeds went to World Central Kitchen’s efforts in Ukraine and Gaza (half and half). We raised $870! A few of the bake sale hits were the Parmesan Rosemary Scones, Spice Cake with Brown Butter Frosting, and the Whoopie Pies.

  • In October, our cause was to aid the unhoused and hungry. We chose Glide Memorial in San Francisco as our organization to donate to. We were able to raise $812! A few of the hits were: Pumpkin Spice Donuts (these have become a regular item, and are always a hit), Banana Basque Cheesecake, and Fig Pistachio Bars.

  • In September, our sale’s proceeds went to The Sameer Project in Gaza. We raised $1,033! A few of the bake sale hits were the Cardamom Cake, Japanese Beef Curry Hand Pies, and Candied Pecans.
